This is one of fifteen Declarations of Interdependence lithographs created by famed artist and printmaker Roland Poska. Each of the Declarations of Interdependence use color and form to evoke the interconnectedness between race, culture, and nature. There are three corresponding Declarations for each race. Each Declarations is thematically titled such as “Roots”, “We The People”, and “American Indian Movement” are embedded in the piece. The Declarations were made between 1988-1994 in Rockford, Illinois. Poska produced 150 prints of each of the 15 series images from stone to Rives paper.
